Top 10 countries in clean energy investment 2010

China remains the world's leading investor in clean energy in 2010 with an investment of US$54.4 billion, up from the US$39.1 billion for 2009, according to a report Who's Winning the Clean Energy Race released yesterday by US-based Pew Environment Group.
The country was followed by Germany and the United States in the ranking, which invested US$41.2 billion and US$34 billion in the sector respectively last year.
Worldwide, the clean energy sector roared back from flat recessionary levels, increasing 30 percent above 2000 levels to achieve a record US$243 billion worth of finance and investment in 2010, said the report, which examines new trends in the clean energy sector worldwide.
